Help! Royal Caribbean or Costa Cruise ??

Question

this is gonna be our 1st cruise, my hubby and I are in our late 20s but we are not the party typle wild yuppies. We would like to cruise Greece and Eastern Med (Turkey, Egypt....)

I have a hard time choosing between Royal Caribbean and Costa. I prefer Costa though because of the sailing date and better price but I have heard more bad reviews (mostly from Americans). But if its that bad, I think I'll go with Royal Caribbean in the end.

anyone experienced Costa cruise already?

Royal, no doubt.

Costa is terrible.

Ive worked in more than 12 lines in a period of 10 years and Costa was by far the worse.

Royal is not the best, but its very good for its value.

Costa was a great company, the food and service were amazing.

Now after it was taken over by the Carnival Corp it became the MacDonald of the seas that Carnival is.

But dont think that Royal is that much better... its good, but if you are looking for something special(and can afford it) go Crystal.

I'd say Royal Caribbean. I've never heard of Costa Cruise. If you go on a boat that's not big, you'll feel it. No matter what. It's better to get the best deal with a decent sized boat. I've been on NCL though. If your going to be in Europe, then a bigger boat is better, and your going to have to fly some where no matter what.

I would go with Royal Caribbean.. I am a travel agent and I have only heard awful things about Costa.. They are cheaper but for a reason..

I'm only experienced in Royal Carribean, but I it sounds like you would like it.  It's not a party cruise by any means.  You can do wild excursions and hang at the bars if you want to party, but that's it.  It's a very relaxing vacation with room for adventure.  There's more families and couples than younger people looking for a good time.  I definitely suggest picking RC.  I had the time of my life!

I would go with Royal Caribbean. There ships are bigger and have more amenities. Costa cruises are geared more toward the European traveler. The best thing for you to do would be to check the reviews on cruise critic and then make a decision.

i would go on royal caribbean....they are bigger and better ships by far....royal caribbean ships have everything from rock walls to ice skating rinks to a place where you can actually surg on the ship....there is no comparison...i would spend the extra money    it will be well worth it
