Hi, I have some problems with my labtop computer. My C drive usually had 3 GB of space avaliable, but after I scaned my labtop using Avast Anti-Virus I found a virus (infection) and my c drive started to decrease in memory and now I only have 1.16 GB left. I have tried deleting the file but I couldn't find it. Strangest thing is, I can't even access to c:/WINDOWS/Installer. I tried deleting the file with avast but it just wont work. It said something about not supporting the file type. Please help me!

THE INFECTION I HAD WAS: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\49e32c.msi Binary.Mojicon_7090_silent.exe

  1. You should use a different virus scan. I like to use stopzilla. You can go to the web page and you download it and get a free scan. After the virus is found it will ask if you want to delete it. You must purchase the product in order to delete it. The product isnt very expensive. The web you can find it at is stopzilla.com. Give it a try. Let me know what you find. Hope this helps.

  2. Stopzilla is c**p. I wish spammers would quit posting. You have a somewhat major issue. Your drive is being indexed. The good news is that you will be able to free the space after you clean the infection. with some thing like ccleaner, killbox or atf cleaner. You need to disconect from the internet and turn off system restore then reboot in safe mode and scan again. You may want to try AVG free. Google is your friend or you can email me and I will get it off your system.. It may take a while..but not all is lost. Yeah this one hits your restore points it's nasty for sure.  Torrent?

  3. It's LAPTOP

  4. download AVG its free from www.filehippo.com

or Avira from filehippo and have them scan it and delete it if they can
