Help...So couldn't get out of jury duty, so what do I wear???

It doesn't matter. The first day I wore trousers and a smart jacket, but almost everyone else was in jeans!

Just wear what you feel comfortable in.

i have done jury service and there were people wearing all kinds of things but u should show some respect and be reasonably dressed

u can get out of jury service up to 3 times just by saying u are on holiday, or have no choice but to work, or u are going into hospital,etc

i didnt realise u could get out of it that easy until it was too late

be prepared to be bored, its a good experience but not as exciting as u think, good luck

Something that is very very distracting to the whole process.  Better yet whisper to one of the other jurors and say OMG he even looks guilty.  LOL  That could get you thrown off the jury.

You say you are from England. If you are not a Citizen of the

USA you cannot be on a Jury.

You must be kidding. You are not familiar with dress codes?

Get educated. Your attire must be offending a lot of people

frequently.

You won't be asked to serve long if you say you are from England and believe all criminals should still be in stocks, or something like that.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in because it often mainly consists of waiting around doing nothing. Most court houses will not let you in wearing a costume or looking as if you are mocking the system.

While I agree it is a pain, it is also a civic duty that comes from being a registered voter. If you want to give up that right, then you don't have to be on the list for future jury duty.

Something comfortable, clean and not too raunchy!!! Remember that you could be stuck in the court for almost a week. I would go for a pair of jeans, blouse, comfy shoes/trainers. The judge is not looking for a fashion parade, only some repectable people from the community. Good grieff, don't go in with a shellsuit or tracky bums!!! Most of the defendants will be wearing these....

As comfortable as possible.  Bring a sweater just in case the place is freezing .  And wear socks for that same reason.
