  1. take lessons from a person that is better than you

  2. getting better isnt only about working ur butt off everyday. Instead of doing all that instense work, why don't u try working more on technique? That's wat i did. Also, eat the right foods. If ur on a team, ask ur coach personally if ur doing anything  wrong. If he says no, it can either mean two things. #1, ur at ur limit, or more likely, #2, u need a better swim coach. But if he gives u real advice, take it.

    =)

  3. I used to do competitive swimming and I would practice 8 three hour sessions each week and THAT was tough on my body. You may need to actually cut back on practices, to reverse the feeling of "burnout" you are going through.

  4. maybe you r not eating the right things. Right before you go swimming dont eat anything heavy eat something light and low caliorie. Crackers, Fruits, veggies. If your 2 heavy that might slow you down. If your underwieght then try gaining some wieght maybe ur 2 light. Try running 2 get quicker faster. And more involved in other fast sports. dont 4get 2 pratice often (which i think u covered tht)

  5. Perhaps you are practicing the right amount, but the wrong techniques. Get help from a coach or a better swimmer, and check out books, websites, etc that could help perfect your stroke technique.

Learn what you are doing wrong and fix it. All your practice is awesome, but if you are practicing the wrong way to swim, you won't improve.
