Help...Symantec Antivirus?

by  |  earlier

I am using symantec antivirus on my computer. Everyday or a least every other day I get an auto results message on my computer saying Bloodhound.Exploit.193 and Downloader.Swif.C have been quarantined on my computer. I haven't been to any fishy websites or downloaded any new software onto my computer, so I dont' know where it is coming from. Can either of these damage my computer and also how do I stop getting the messages.

Thanks

  1. Symantec/Norton are responsible for BSOD ( Blue Screen Of Death ).

    They are worst than viruses.

    see story

I strongly recommend Threat fire because it use very little system resources (5 MB RAM).

    http://www.threatfire.com/

ThreatFire is dramatically different to traditional antivirus software.

    ThreatFire's patent-pending ActiveDefense

technology offers protection against all types of internet threats

    - both known and unknown - spyware, adware, keyloggers, viruses, worms,

Trojans, rootkits, buffer overflows, and other malware.

ThreatFire uses its unparalleled protection to hunt down and paralyze those threats

that are either too new or too clever to be recognized by traditional "signature-based" antivirus.

  2. Norton cant catch a virus even if its in front of it with glasses on.

Download a copy of Avast Home , install, and choose to scan when next restart, option 2 to remove when found

  3. Remove it, get a different antivirus. I have used norton before and it sucks, you should try defender pro if theres actually something wrong with your computer, virus, trojan, etc. it will remove it. you can find defender pro at target for about 20 dollars.

  4. First of all Nortons is pure junk and has been for many years.  They are only good with marketing skills.   Uses up all of your resources and fails to find viruses, and if one is found will usually leave fragments behind of the virus.

Please download the free version of Superantispyware.  http://www.superantispyware.com  Update and run and indepth scan.

This software scans for viruses and spyware, without conflict to your own antivirus. I use myself.
