Help!! TEN POINTS for most helpful answer!!?

Question

I am hosting a party in a week that will have 20 guests. The problem is that I have some carpet mildew. Can somebody tell me some ways to get rid of carpet mildew? What supplies do I need? What's the most efficient technique? And how I can keep it from coming back.

This is going to sound gross, but pee on the affected areas.  The urine will kill the mildew.  Then clean up with a wet vac and some baking soda.

take a rag and wipe it away then spray some smell good stuff on it.

Just call one of those carpet cleaner companies to come and clean your carpets the companies add these chemicles/ cleanings supplies that prevent mildew

Lower humidity levels to make it harder for mildew to grow. also try to keep everything a dry as possible. Also use clorox to help clean reguarly

i believe it all depends possibly a steam cleaner just don't use regular bleach. bleach would kill it but then you would have spots in your carpeting wheres the water cumming from you would have to stop the carpet from getting wet to stop the mildew and the have several carpet cleaners at the grocery store or call a carpet cleaning company and ask
