Help! Teen Pregnancies Up at My School?

Question

hey everyone, I am a 15 year old girl in a small town. In the past year the number of teen pregnancies have increased, a lot! We have a parenting class that is to help deter teens away from finding babies appealing (basically scare them) but we dont have the money for new and more effective baby simulators. Does any one know a company or person(s) who would be willing to maybe donate?

Is this that one town that supposedly had the pregnancy pact and a bunch of (fairly unintelligent) girls got knocked up?

It has less to do with teens wanting kids and more to do with teens opening their legs and being disillusioned into thinking it won't happen to them.

I had to take baby think it over home twice and i still don't listen so it doesn't help, nice try though. your best bet is to hand out condoms a girl at my school does that every once in a while she gets them her mom, im also from a small school only 50 kids in each grade...sometimes less.

There are some fake babies that you actually have to feed, change, wash, and clothe but they are extremely expensive and you would need a lot of funding. Try to get sponsers from major companies.

But as far as those ones that you just hold a key in their back, they're worthless. I have a baby so I know what it's like. When a real baby is crying, you can't just turn a key in it's back, hold it for a few minutes and expect everything to be fine. They don't have to wash bottles, do loads of laundry, warm bottles, fuss with a carseat, feed baby with spoons/forks and then clean up the mess, etc. And they can shower and go to the bathroom when they feel like it. With a real baby you can't unless there is someone else around.

People take those fake babies wherever they go which you can't do with a real baby in most cases. Those fake ones were at the school, mall, parties, sleepovers, and anywheres else the "parent" felt like going. You can't just get up and go with a real baby whenever you please.

I doubt that that's going to make a difference.  Talk to your guidance counselor or principal if you're hellbent on the subject but if I were you I'd just let everyone do what they're going to do because you can't stop them no matter how hard you try.  Just keep your legs closed and you don't have to worry about it.

Hm, I don't think asking Yahoo! Answers is the best place. Maybe do some research online and see if you can e-mail some places via e-mail to see is they'd be able or willing to donate.

where are you at just wondering ?!?! Even though i am a teen parent I feel that there is alot in the small town I live in as well.... but nothing is going to change the fact teens having s*x...as long as we keep having s*x the numbers are not going to decrease....(i am saying this because not everyone is irreasponsible with it and still get prego (meaning they used a condom or they were on B/C))but there are irreasponsible teens as well and just dont care wether or not they get prego. so the class does not really help. it just gives you info on how babies are....

the best thin gits to treat then teens like adult hand them with all the fact of s*x good, bad, ugly and everything in between.

honestly, i dont think that would make a whole lot of a difference.

have them use a bag of flour as a baby, simple.
