  1. You might want to head back to the dentist. Something might have happened while they were cleaning it. If you REALLY don't want to, you can try buying some cream that can help soothe the pain.

  2. Your teeth hurt because of the spacers. The orthodontist should've told you more about what to expect. Spacers move your teeth apart my several millimeters and will probably be the worst part of your braces. Don't pick them out or chew anything sticky while you have them. If you lose them it will hurt worse when they fit the bands since there won't be any space.  Take an over-the-counter pain reliever if you can. The pain will subside in a day or two. Hang in there!!

  3. thats what spacers ("serperators") do.

they "space" your back teeth so they'll have room for these bands that fit around your tooth to hook your wire in.

    make sense?

to make the pain go away, take advil and just wait it out.

    it doesnt last for long.

and for me, spacers were the worst.

    hope i helped =]

  4. Anytime there is pressure or trauma (ex- fillings, cleanings, root canals ect)  in the mouth, teeth can hurt, this can radiate throughout your jaw and at times give you headaches. With ortho there is quite a bit a pressure on the teeth. Take a mortin for a couple of days for the pain and within a week or so this will all go away. Just remember that teeth are bone, anytime you try to move bone around it does cause pain. Just hand in there...

  5. the separators are separating your teeth of course it's going to hurt, you need force to move those teeth around.
