Help UH! i hate having a period?

ok im going on vacation tommorow and im ganna be on my dot dots for half of the time im on vacation that sucks what am i supposed to do im a pool and water person im not ganna just sit around and all my cousins are ganna be asking why arent you going in the pool bla bla

my period does not stop from being in the water!!!

You can start a type of contraception pill and tell the doc that you want to skip this months period (By staying on hormone pills only) then you can choose when you want to have your period....

actually chloranated water bleaches your suit if anything gets on it.

i kinda have the same problem but its just im to afraid to wear them. and i prbably wouldnt wear pads cause i've heard they will expand. but i mean unless its a medical reason i say you wear a tampon

If you aren't having a heavy flow, that is, you just started, or you are about to end, then I think it will be safe for you to go in the pool.  When you're in water, it automatically shuts off the bleeding.  (Unless it's heavy, then...maybe not.)

Otherwise, just tell your cousins the truth or that you don't feel like swimming.  Or you feel sick.  Or that you have cramps.  That's usually the truth...

To all the other people, my period stops in water unless it's heavy so...yup.

trust me.. that girl is wrong.. your flow doesn't stop in water. why doesn't it stop when you shower/bathe then?

i have a friend who doesn't wear tampons and we went to a water park. she wore a pad (without wings, of course) and a dark swimsuit. you couldn't tell.
