Help!!? Vaginal Hemorrahge? (Not pregnant and am in my 40s)?

I am really scared it may be something extremely serious since I bleed way too much about 3 pints and I went to a doctor but he said I just needed rest, I am scared that this may lead to something serious, can anyone help me? can I die?

I suggest you get a second opinion from another doctor.

Do you still have periods? It could be a form of endometriosis or hyperplasia. If you aren't happy with your doctor go to another one. It is your body, your life you are worrying about. They can be nonchalant about it because they don't have the problem.

Ok I did that before I am 25 I was going threw infertility treatments and I just had a gush of blood that lasted about 20 minutes it was bad enough it went threw the bed and on to the floor!!!  But you have to get get an ultrasound or something to see whats going on from the inside out!!!!! Mine was a capsular breaking.  But if its 3 pints you should have gone to the ER and you need to get a second option one that is going to fun test!!!! Seriously it could be cancer it could be something else.  Its always better to be safe then sorry I would go to another doctor!!!   Good luck!

Get a second opinion.  It sounds like you are losing a lot of blood, it could potentially be serious.  Good Luck.

What country do you live in?  To be told you "need rest" is ridiculous.  You need to see another doctor to find out the cause of the hemorrhage.  You could have something that's causing the hemorrhage, anything ranging from fibroids to cancer; you must see another doctor.  Loss of blood can be deadly; it can lead to a severe anemia that in turn causes multiorgan failure and death.  Make an appointment ASAP for peace of mind.
