Question:

Help! Washer is ruining clothing and leaving lint like pieces all over everything!?

OK, so my washer cleans the clothes, but it leaves a LOT of lint all over the clothing. I had a $60 pair of riding breeches, and I had to go over them with a razor and duck tap to get the lint off. I had worn them once! So, what can I do to fix this, and are there any other ways to fix the damaged clothing? Would running the washer without anything in it but soap or bleach ( or something like that) work? Thanks very much for any help you may have!

  1. To prevent this.

You have to wash all lien items together.

-Towels/Cloths that will help prevent lien transfer

They have lien razors at walmart for about 6.00 dollars

  2. It might be your dryer...if not, try washing the clothes in the washer without towels or other things that leave "pills" all over the clothes. Try the delicate cycle.

  3. First check your washer for a lint catcher.

Mine is in the center on the agitator, mine takes one twist to remove.

wipe out washer after washing towels and rags etc.. to remove excess lint.

    Wash clothing with like clothing.

Never wash towels or robes with your daily clothing.

    Try turning clothing inside out.

pilling on clothing can also at times be a defect in the fabric.

    Good luck..
