Help? What's 3.56 divided by .73?

I used a calculator and it kept coming out with more than 4! That does not make sense. Help?

why doesnt it make sense, it does make sence. and it is 4.88 because .73 is less than 1, it will go into 3.56 more than 1 would. For example if it was 3.56 divided by 1.32 youll get 2. something .. the bigger the number the less it is and the less the number the more it is.

Your calculator is right.  The answer has to be a little over four since you're dividing it by a number that's less than one.  If you rounded up, you'd have 4 divided by 1, and your answer would be 4.  You have almost four (a little more than 3 1/2  divided by less than three quarters of one (.73).  Of course the answer has to be greater than 4.     Right?
