My son broke his leg last week and as its half term I'm struggling to think of places I can take him/things he can do except being stuck indoors or in the garden! He is 12 and very active normally...any ideas of where I could take him?

  1. There are a lot of places he can go.... he's not going to be very mobile anywhere but it might help distract him. Zoos, museums, movies, the mall. Check with you local parks office or local junior colleges and see if there are any classes he might be interested in - photography, drawing, foreign language  (community classes, not college level obviously). Ask HIM what he would be interested in learning and check books out of the library for him to study on his own.  Best of luck to you!

  2. Hop Scotch ???

  3. london eye, zoo, aquarium, play computer / board games.

  4. computer, he could also play table tennis :)

  5. cinema, its half term and some films out to interest him - indiana jones, is first one that comes to mind but they usually cater for kids during the holidays
