  1. well  i'm sure i can help you

Rabbits are pretty clean. they can be easily litter trained especialy if their neutered, wich makes smells and cleaning up easier.

make sure you are ready for this commitment. Rabbits live for about 9 to 10 years. Are you able to take care of it for that long? You need to take them out and play with them atleast everyday. Do you have enough space to keep a rabbit? Are you prepared to bunny proof the room you'll let him out in? Can you clean out it's cage at least once, every single week?

Try waiting,it'l help you think about what your getting yourself into.

Anyways, I'm just saying, make sure you're ready for this, cuz there are way too many rabbits in animal shelters already.

    good luck!

  2. I actually got my mom to get me a rat even though she hates them!  I just did responsible stuff like cleaning my room without being asked and stuff like that and then i wrote her a short letter saying how nice it would be to have one and how I have been responsible and can handle it...I also bought some of the supplies myself like toys and houses for him to sleep in.

  3. Please choose another animal.  Rabbits need more care than you are probably able to give.  Go to www.rabbits.org and do some research.  Pay attention to the info. on "rabbits and children".

  4. We are getting two "mini lop rabbits" tomorrow a.m.  My kids convinced me by being responsible...understanding what it would take on their part to care for it EVERYDAY...Go with mini or dwarf rabbits...they are small... Mini Lop Rabbits are easiest to litter train...and are loveable and social, and actually crave to get attention.  They are quiet and if you have a pen...they can stay completely out of mischeif when you cannot be around to watch them.  They truly are good for even small children.  I hope you can get one, and that this has helped you see ways to possibly win mom over.  Take care.

  5. You could ask her to let you foster/petsit a rabbit for a certain amount of time; chances are she doesn't know how it will work with you (and neither do you--rabbits are seldom the sort of pets that people expect them to be) and fostering or caring for one while its owner is on vacation could be a great compromise, not to mention a community service/way to earn a small stipend. If you find out that a rabbit is an ideal pet for your family, you can go from there.

Also, learn more about rabbits at http://binkybunny.com/

and join the online forum to ask more questions and show your mother that you know how to properly care for them. Good luck!
