Help! What are these bugs in my kitchen?

...and how do I get rid of them?

I can't get a photo, and I've tried googling, but can't find the exact match. they're flat, apple-seed shaped (with no visibly separate head), have 3 legs on each side and very long antennas. light-coloured legs and outline of body, black body with a light band going vertically through it. it looks to have horizonal banding on its body. no wings--similar to, but doesn't look like a cockroach.

is it some kind of grain beetle? or worse? ughhh please help me--links to photos would be appreciated as I have NO idea wtf this thing is.
