I have back pain in the upper part of my back. It doesn't hurt more when i move, but just hurts all the time. When I breathe in deeply, I can feel the spot where it hurts the most. It hurts more in the afternoon when I get home until I go to sleep. When I lie down, there is no position that seems comfortable; when lying on my stomach, it feels like a stack of books on my back and when lying on my back, it just hurts, on my side, it hurts the same. I know this pain isn't coming from carrying a heavy backpack because there's hardly anything in it. I just started volleyball, could it just be some sort of sprain?

  1. It could be a sign that you are wearing the wrong size bra. If the pain continues for more than 3 days, visit your doctor.

  2. You may benefit from a visit to the chiropractor who can help evaluate your spinal alignment. How is your posture in general? Do you slouch &/or sit with your shoulders rounded forward? Both of these can cause problems in the area of your spine that you are describing. All schools that I know of, screen for scoliosis. Has your school nurse examined your spine? If not, then you really need to get that done-and again, the chiropractor would be a good person for that. If you or your parents aren't pro-chiropractic then your dr. would be the best person to evaluate the pain. it isn't likely to get better on its own, and if it is muscular in nature the repetitive movements in volleyball are going to keep it inflamed. Hopefully, with some rest and anti-inflammatories and chiropractic adjustment if needed you will get relief and healing and get back to the court!

  3. Ask your doctor!

  4. see your doc it could be growing pains it could be hormones it could be a chest infection or even a kidney infection

  5. Awww poor VW...

Have you been drinking lots of water?

Do you often pop/crack your back? cause that can also cause some discomfort and drying of the joints...

My advice is to see a doctor who's profession is in Chiropracty (sp???)

Is it like, your bones that hurt, or  does it seem like organs or something? or is it your muscles?

if it is your muscles, you might be under too much stress, and you need to have a massage.

    I would see a doctor.
