Help - What kind of quick growing tree is this? (Pix Incl!)?

OK.. So..

Can anyone help me identify the type of tree this is?

It's a fast grower, and it has large leaves...

It has been cut down several times, and comes back up! lol

    Here is another close up of the tree. I think it is a posibility the person that said Tulip tree, hit the nail right on the head.

    It is actually quite a nice tree, having strong wood, well-behaved and vase-shaped when mature, but it will grow too large to be next to a house. It is the state tree for three states, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.
