What do you do if you are required to read a book you hate?

  1. I would google it and get summarys of each chapter. This way you dont read it but you still know what happens.


  2. Listen to what marY said it's good advice. Even books I hated I found there was things I still learned and found interesting.

    I would read it anyways, not that I'm a big book lover, but I'd just do it, if it's for school stuff...

  4. Read it anyway. At some point in your life you need to get used to doing things you don't like to do. Now is a good time to start. The problem with the suggestion of using a "summary site" is that teachers are WELL AWARE of them and always write tests so you cannot get a decent grade if that's all you did.

    To make it easier, you might set yourself some goals and rewards. You read X number of pages, you can play on the computer for 30 minutes, get a snack, go for a walk, etc.

    Make sure to take some notes as you go along as well. Most likely you'll need them later.

    And who knows, you might actually LIKE it if you try (with a better attitude).
