I eat the same thing every day, and i'm too lazy to conduct an experiment to rule out the offender.

And why re-invent the wheel , if this is common knowlege, right?

So, which food is making feel like i just climbed mount everest, nauseous, and like my feet weigh 500 pounds...

Bean burrito (cheddar cheese, refried beans, wheat tortilla, lettuce, salsa).

Or....

Italian bread with a bit of butter, garlic, olive oil dip, black pepper, salt.

Or...

Pepsi (diet)

Or.

Saur k***t.

THANK YOU !!!

  1. I eat all those things and none of them make me feel sluggish.  I think there is another issue here, are you well rested?  Do you exercise?  Are you feeling down?  If you do think it's the food then just try healthy meals for the next few days and smaller portions.  Like salads with hard boiled egg and beans and lots of your favorite veggies...

Also it may be the salt in these foods that is making you retain water esp in the summer time this can make you feel a little weighed down.  Everything you mentioned is pretty salty.

    I suggest:

    -watch salt intake

-drink plenty of water, cut out the some of the soda

-make one of your meals a day salad

-try to take a walk after dinner to work off some of calories and feel re-engergized

-make sure youare getting 7.5 hrs of continuous sleep each night

  2. The artificial sweeteners in the soda will tell your brain that you are about to get a lot of sugar into your system.  When your brain tastes sweet it thinks sugar is coming in.

This signals your brain that you are going to need insulin to counteract the non-existant sugar so you end up with more insulin in your blood but there is not enough sugar for it to balance out.  As a result you feel sluggish because you end up with low blood sugar.

Aspartame also blocks the body's production of serotonin which is essential to a feeling of well being.

You might want to try flavored seltzers. There is no sugar or artificial sweeteners and the flavor is nice and light. I get them by the case for about 25 cents a can. You could also do with some vitamin C in your diet so maybe OJ (or Tang if you must.)

The burrito is the healthiest thing in your diet right now. Try taking a liquid B-complex to improve your energy level.  Walmart sells it at the check out with about 20 dose for $5.

Nutritionist Susan Allen, RD, CCN, at Chicago’s Northwestern Center for Integrative Medicine, suspects that something additional is going on in many of her patients who have been using aspartame and other artificial sweeteners. Allen believes that when they consume them, the sweet taste of no-calorie sweeteners triggers their bodies to release insulin, even though there is no food to feed the cells. Normally, when we eat, the sugar in that food, which is derived from carbohydrates, is broken down into simple sugars, like glucose, which then enter the blood stream (we call it "blood sugar").

Aspartame itself doesn’t have any calories, but basically, one of its ingredients, the amino acid phenylalanine, blocks production of serotonin, a nerve chemical that, among other activities, controls food cravings. As you might well imagine, a shortage of serotonin will make your brain and body scream for the foods that create more of this brain chemical—and those are the high-calorie, carbohydrate-rich snacks that can sabotage a dieter. Obviously, the more aspartame one ingests, the more heightened the effects. Simply put, aspartame appears to muddle the brain chemistry.

  3. probably the bread, but you may want to re think combining saur k***t ant the burrito if you are going to be around people.

  4. I don't think it is any of those foods, so much as the lack of certain items...

You have carbs, and protein, which provide energy (though if it is a lot of cheese, that could be weighing you down from the fat content), now you need some fruit and veg. Pick 'em fresh (juice is fine if it does not have high fructose corn syrup), and if you don't like fruit or veg pick the most colorful ones. They are the most nutrient packed, so you won't have to eat as much. Berries, a salad, etc.

(P.S., beans and saurkraut in the same day? Whoo, you might want to invest in some Bean-O also.)

  5. Your body may need a more varied diet to get the nutrients  you need to feel healthy. Eating the same foods all the time without varying your diet much can be easier but not healthy. Do you take a multivitamin to give you some of what your not eating.  How about incorporating more fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet. carry a bag of carrots and whatever fresh fruit is in season so it's less expensive.  Do you eat meat of any kind? Where do you get your protein in your diet.  Refried beans is not a complete protein.Your body is telling you that it needs more nutrients when you feel so sluggish, so try to listen to it . You don't need to eat more food just more of the food that will nourish your body.

  6. Cut out the pepsi (or any soda, diet or not, or any drink that is high in suger/fructose syrup) for a month and see how you feel, then.  Just stop drinking it for a while, that won't take up to much of your energy but hopefully give some back..

  7. you should probably see a doctor, and change your diet. Where are the fruits and veggies ? Looks like you need some vitamins

  8. Lots of carbs there, and if you feel suggish afterwords, you might be having a hyperglycemic reaction. you could be on the stages of Diabetes, and should get checked out.

sounds simmilar to what i felt like before being diagnosed with diabetes

you eat saur k***t all by itself?  gross!
