I have a dodge neon with an Eclipse aftermarket cd player and i just got a new sub and amp and its all hooked up except for the remote wire. I took out the cd player and i know the remote wire is supposed to be blue but i have a bunch of blue variations...on one clipped harness theres blue-white (which ive heard is usually the right one) which is taped together with a blue-orange wire...and then on the other clipped harness there is a blue-red wire....im guessing its either the blue-white or the blue-orange but im not sure which one is the right one and which one is the antenna so does anyone know which is the right one???? Plz Help!!!

  1. May be a dumb question, but are these "variations" on the factory harness side, or coming out of the back of the deck? The Remote wire will be a blue/white stripe, this is an industry wide standard. It will be coming out of the harness that plugs directly in to the eclipse.

update: If the amp is powering on, then that's fine. The signal is sent through the RCA cables, be sure they are hooked up, if it has multiple pre outs, use the dedicated subwoofer one. Also by chance is the gain turned completely down? Also could you give me the model of Eclipse, some units allow you to turn off the sub output in the case you are not using it, or the ability to turn down the level of the preout.
