Hey guys, i have a job interview in a few days and really need help. Alot depends on me getting this job and i have been making notes and trying to research the company but i have one problem. Im 17 and the position for 'Assistant Manager' I was suprised to get an interview so maybe the interviewer's don't feel my age will be a factor but im paranoid about it. What do you think and have you got any tips for a good interview.

Thanks in advance :)

  1. I do not know in what country you live however, in the US most companies cannot hire a supervisory position unless you are 18.  This is due to liability and responsibility issues.  Also in the states, the only time you are allowed to ask the question of age, is if you are 18.  If you are under the age of 18, you are legally responsible for your actions and the company could be held seriously accountable if something were to happen to you, not just to others.

  2. well if your getting a job for "assistant Manager" your going to definatly have to have some "experience" and there most likley going to be asking you questions about your leadership roles and why you would be a perfect candidate to be in charge instead of the next guy.. your going try to sell yourself majorly, make yourself seem like you got it all and that your 100% sure that your the right person for this job, despite your age.. THere most likley going to be calling your referenses to see if you would be a perfect candidate for this job bases on your previous peformances at your last job..  Make sure you study various questions that you think they might ask.. have referenses at least 3 or 4 given the fact that your trying out for assistant manager..

I wish you the best <333

    good luck~
