Help With A Smelly Dishwasher!!!?

My dishwasher always stinks! I usually run it 2 to 3 times a week since it's only me and my husband in the house and we don't dirty that many dishes and I always rinse the dishes off and cups out before putting them in there but it still has a horrible stench! What is it and how do I get rid of it???

You could put a couple of cups of bleach in the dishwasher the next time you run it.

Not sure if this would work, but you could also run it (empty) using some of that stuff you use to deorderize a garbage disposal (you can get it at the grocery store or places like Walmart).

Throw in a cup of some Baking Soda on lone run.

you are better off just washing the few dishes by hand. Sitting them in the dishwasher and waiting till you have enough to run a load, can allow bacteria, mold and mildew  to grow, causing the smells. Run an empty dishwasher thru  full cycle using white vinegar instead of soap. This will make the house smell like vinegar for a bit, but the dishwasher will smell clean afterwords, Then, stop leaving it partially full. Either run it right away, or don't load it at all.
