Question:

Help With Breakouts?

I'm 16.. and like most teens I get pimples. But I have very very clear skin. On occasion I have one or two pimples. I had a few questions about breakouts.

1. I use Cetaphil (from normal to oily skin) to wash my face. I only wash twice a day and no more. But I have dry patches on my face when done washing. Is it safe to use a little lotion on my face? Or will it make the pore oily again and get some breakouts?

2. When I have a really big pimple under my bangs or something, I use Hydrogen peroxide(or alcohol) directly on the pimple to kill the bacteria. The process has worked but it takes time. Are there any other products around the house that can speed up the process or works better? (like alcohol or witch hazel?)

3. How can I prevent any future break outs. To maintain my clear skin?

  1. The Neutregena Oil-free acne wash is a daily scrub i wash my face with twice a day. it's amazing. when i wake up the next morning my pimples are either 1/3 of the size it was the day before ( the big ones ) or their completely/ almost completely gone ( the medium/small sized ones). it helps stop breakouts before they start. you should try it. you can get it at CVS.

  2. I have a similar problem. I use clean and clear acne wash twice a day but then the next day my face is dry. I use clinique face lotion, and it seems to work pretty safely without causing the pores to become too oily.
