Should I trade Ian Kinsler away for a good pitcher not showing his full potential right now, like Carlos Zambrano? My team has a lot of good offensive players, but my pitching rotation is made up of ok pitchers excluding Mike Mussina and James Shields. Help Plz

  1. It depends on how you're doing in stats (high or low average and how you're doing in the pitching categories).  Also, depends on who you can pick up on the waivers.  If it's good waivers, go for the trade, if not (no good 2nd basemen), don't take it.  Good 2nd basemen are hard to come by.

Also to answer the guy above me's question about Marmol and the other guy, it might be because he has a Holds category in his league.

  2. Don't trade for Zambrano because the Cubs are going to do a lot worse this half than before.  they will loose first place and implode like the Mets last year.  I would keep kinsler. Why do you have Marmol and Marte? they arent full time closers and you should defidently drop them ASAP and pick up a closer.

  3. On the one hand, it all depends upon your needs. If you're doing well in AVG. and SB's, but behind in pitching ratios and W's, then it might be a good idea. Another thing to consider is this, however: the difference between Kinsler and any 2B you're going to get off of waivers may be more substantial than the difference between, say, Zambrano and Maine.
