I want to buy new headphones for my iPod touch and want to know if it would be better to get in ear ones or retro style ones.

I really want headphones with clear sound and fairly good base

  1. Get a pair of over the head, headphones, my dermatologist told me the ones you stick in your ear aren't good

  2. In the end, it would come down to personal preference but with the ipod Touch, I wouldn't choose either of those you've selected. You've spent a lot of money on it and you need to match it with a quality set of 'phones. By going for a set for £10-£20, you're not getting the full benefit or capabilities of the Touch.

    For in-ear, I would consider the Beyerdynamic DTX50's (£60) or the Shure SE110 (£80)

For traditional Headphones, look at the Goldring DR100 (£40), or Grado SR60 (£80)

If you want to go to extremes, have a listen to the Shure E530PTH (£360) and the Grado GS1000's (£1000)!

  3. retro :D

  4. ear

  5. My husband has some noise cancelling headphones that are ear buds. they are really cool. You can push a switch to make them noise cancelling or you can push it the other to make them like a microphone so you can still hear people with them in.

  6. In ear- best sound quality But- it is your choice!!

  7. in ear the best sound quality but really does block out ALL sound, and i mean all.

  8. If your a college kid, you would much rather have in-ear headphones. Retro (full coverage of the ear) headphones are more for zero mobility applications. In my experience with headphones (I've had a lot, I'm a DJ) the best bang for your buck on in-ear headphones are the CX-300 series from Sennheiser. You can find them for really good prices on eBay, considering they are typically $55-$60 retail. They also come with various rubber inserts for your ears to make them as comfortable as possible. They are everything you could want in an in-ear set up.

  9. The ear ones are more comfortable, better sound quality, they hardly ever fall out of your ear and more stylish. They do block out all sound, but are much more expensive.

  10. Ofcourse ear, it looks more stylish then retro ones.

  11. the retro ones will be of superior quality in sound and way better base but the in ear ones will have gd quality but they wont be as gd as the retro ones , now if u think that ule look lame with the retro ones then get the in ear ones but if u dnt give a $#!T get the retro ones since they are better

  12. Personally, I think you should get ther ear ones. the ipod touch is pretty big and having huge retro headphones will take up a lot of space. The ear ones work a lot better and you can wrap the wires around the ipod so they wont get tangled and knotted.

PS: and if you arent supposed to be listening, you can hide the ear buds under a hoodie.
