I've had a migraine for i think 2 weeks now. Some days it's not as bad as others. Sometimes it's so bad that all I can see is whiteness, like when you hit your head really hard and you can't see. I should say that in the winter, i was ice skating and i slipped and hit my head really hard (& experienced the white vision) today and thursday, my head hurt so bad that i couldn't even go to work. I don't know what this could be, or what i should do. I wanted to go to the doctors today, but i have no way there, and my doctor leaves her office at 12 anyways. Help please, this hurts so bad.

  1. Perhaps it's something you should discussing with your Doctor you may have suffered a concussion when you fell last winter . There is still damages in the brain . See you doctor he is best to advise you and may get some x-ray as well . Good luck and have a great day .

  2. maybe your doctor would be willing to call a prescription into your local pharmacy? does she know you suffer from migraines? i take something called Maxalt 10mg it comes in 5 mg's as well. you can get tablets you have to sawllow or tabs that melt in your mouth. for a severe one i may need to take up to six before the pain goes away but most of the time just two helps. you may need to see a specialist for your head pain. i would ask your GP to reffer you asap. when i'm sick with one, i cannot tollerate smells, noise, light or food. i have to sit quiet in the dark. they can interrupt my life too. work, school, going out with friends. you can also control how often you get them. there is a medication available that helps to prevent the onset of migraines. i forget what it is called. infact i need a refill. i'll call my pharmacy and get back to you about what the name of it is as soon as i get offline than i will email it to you later. also, certain foods can trigger my pain. this is different for different people. try webmd.com and type in migraines and they may have information about what foods/drinks to avoid. than make a list for yourself, take that food out of your diet for a month and see if you have less attacks. if you have a problem with transpertation, call your local City Hall and ask if there is a program available in your city to help people w/low income or medical emergancies to get to a dr. or you can call your local hospital and ask if they have a coupon for taking cabs to see a dr. gd lk i hope you are feeling better real soon! i will get back to you about that medication. oh, yea try a non asprin pain reliever for the pain until you are able to get a prescription. a cold pack helps me a lot. feel free to email me anytime.
