I have an old Cannondale track bike that I converted into a fixed gear. I was wondering should I buy a new crankset because my chain isnt straight, or can I just take my old cranks and buy a new chainring and my chain would be straight?

Please Help??

  1. I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Convert a track bike to a fixie? They already are. What conversion could you have possibly done?

I think your saying the drive is not aligned? The best solution would be to replace the BB spindle with the correct length.

  2. I thought track bikes were already Fixie's  You may try some stack bolts.  Go to Sheldon Brown's for info on Fixie's.
