The front door in my our house has been an issue before, I noticed you can see daylight through the bottom right side. i'm assuming its time for new and MUCH improved weather stripping. what kind/Size should I get for a complete good seal?

i have included some pictures.

In one of the pictures there is like a fuzzy like weather strip. a small piece o f it someone didn't want to rip off, but that will go.

  1. Your links do not work.  However, investigate getting an interlocking weatherstrip system.  When the door is closed an airtight seal is formed.  If you are seeing daylight only under one side of the door, the threshold may need to be adjusted with a shim.

Any large DIY or hardware store should be able to supply what you need and advice on installation.

    Good Luck!

  2. rip all the old stripping off .check all the screws in the hinges tighten if needed . now beacuse weather stripping comes in many sizes measure the crack along the door where you wish to seal out the weather .then go to your local hardware tell them you measured. they will put you in the right direction . if im right it should be the next size up from youir measurement . get the stripping that peels and sticks avoid the nail or staples . good luck!!!
