  1. wolves are awesome!

  2. wolves love to kill cow, elk, deer, I would love too try wolf steak on the barbecue

  3. Four huge wolves chased my two grandchildren down the road to their home, they actually tried to surround them and, stalked them. My daughter was there with her 30-06 she shot one.

Another day, they came into their farm Yard and, killed their two dogs and, ripped a calf so badly it had to be put to sleep.

They were on channel 5 news in Northern Minnesota. Now, a sheriffs deputy said to shot the things and toss them on a passing train so no one knows where they come from.

The DNR actually told them they'd better not shot the wolves, even if they are stalking the kids. My son-in-law, bless his heart, kicked the warden off the property, telling him to blankety-blank and the sheriffs deputies just laughed.

People like you have no idea what's going on in realty, when these animals start attacking my grandkids, they'll be going into extinction, you can bet on that.

  4. there is some good info on the re introduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park.I have never heard of wolves attacking or killing people in the wild ,never heard of any incidences in Canada.Unfortunately too many campfire stories and movies {Old Yeller} have given wolves a bad rap.If you were to look up "wolf attacks"you get a a variety of stories most attacks are said to be during very bad winters when food is scarce or when they have been startled or if the animal is in distress{injured or old or starvation}I have lived in Northern Ontario for years hunting and trapping have trapped wolves and other animals never once have I been threatened by a wolf remember we are in there territory and if we respect them they will respect us

  5. Hi Allison,

An excellent resource for your research:

"Never Cry Wolf : Amazing True Story of Life Among Arctic Wolves" by Farley Mowat.

You can get a copy on Amazon, or check your local library. If you Google 'wolf, Mowat' you'll find a study-guide on the book.

They are beautiful animals -- I've watched two hunting at a gopher-hole last month about fifty yards away from our house. They also cull out the weak and diseased deer.

    Hth,
