Question:

Help! Worms In My Snakes Stool?

I was cleaning out my ball pythons cage today and noticed that he has *live* worms in his stool.

Could this be a result of his eating a mice with worms and then digesting out the worms, or does my snake have parasites?

He has *no* external mites. Whats wrong with my snake, and what steps can I take towards stopping this from reoccurring?

  1. Your snake definately has some sort of worm infestation, he needs to be taken to the vet with a fecal sample so the correct treatment can be provided.

It's possible he has caught them from eating mice which carry them - this is why its best to feed frozen thawed mice, if they have been in a freezer for a few weeks it kills any nasties you don't want.

    Good luck.

  2. I dont know why but this makes me feel sick but anyway go to zee vet

  3. Your snake has parasites - take him and his stool to a vet for treatment.

  4. Get a sample of the stool and get it to the vet when you can. He'll tell you what your snake might have and the appropriate steps to take.
