Ok, so I'm writing my 1st check from a check book but I was wondering what one writes on the memo and MP line on the bottom part of the check? Thank you for your help!

  1. You don't have to write anything in that line if you don't want to.

I use mine to reference what the check is for, just a brief description. Like for my rent I write my address, for other bills I write my account number, and for my little girls daycare I write her name.

That will help you remember what the check is for and also help the person see what the check is for and in case the check is misplace it from the invoice or something like that.

  2. Yoy can write anything you like. Most people use the space you remind of why they wrote the cheque (british spelling).

    Hope this helps.

  3. ~~You can use the space to make a notation on what the check is for, but most commonly it is used to identify your account number when paying bills. ~~

  4. Anything you want.  If you are paying a bill, write your account number.  If not, write something to remind you what it is for.

    It is optional.

The "MP" line is probably the micro-print line.  It is most likely on the right bottom of the check?  That is where you SIGN your name.

  5. YOU WRITE LIKE A LITTLE NOTE TO YOUR SELF WAT THIS MONEY WAS WITHDRAW FOR OR YOU CAN LEAVE IT BLANK BUT I WOULD DO IT IF YOU BALANCE YOUR CHECKBOOK.
