Help a Beginner Please????

id like to know which skimboard to use. A wooden board or a fibreglass board.? Im a begginer but id like to learn to do more with the board. What can someone recommend to me?

I live in hawaii, and havent done it myself, but the most people ive seen skimboarding use a wooden board, which appears to work really well.

wooden board defiantly, fiberglass ones ding (crack/break )easily and are for experienced skimboarders.the wooden ones are made of ply and come in many shapes and sizes.

i did have a fiberglass one but it broke. fiberglass ones are better for riding waves.
