Help about AVI codecs?

Okay i`ve looked at the K-Lite-blah blah blah thingy and it seems like a little too much..i'd like to just download a codec thats simple,like you leave it alone and then ur problem is solved.can some1 just list a link for me?anti virus plz..o and my problem is-

windows media player only plays sounds,and you can't see the video

windows vista if it matters.

Well, Windows Vista is pretty buggy compared to Windows XP and it takes up a lot more system resources than XP! I personally think Vista sucks compared to XP! The only good thing about Windows Vista is the look, but other than that it sucks! I would use XP instead!!

K-lite is your best option. It's not that hard or too much, just go to the site and it's only a few clicks away (all the options are pre-set, no worries).

I'm telling you though, K-lite is your best option: virus free, cost free, and it has code for everything.
