Help about craigs list?

i'm thinking of posting something that i'm selling on craigslist.com, but i don't really know how it works. Does it cost money to put it up there, do i need a credit card or anything? If anyone knows anything about it could you help me out?

You don't need a credit card.  Just an email account.  Sign up on their website then you will be able to post items.

You post on their website, then they send you a confirmation email to the email you listed, approve (or confirm) the email and it's posted.
