  1. try connectionsacademy.com

i go there and its free.

you just gotta pay for the books.

    :]

  2. start here

    http://www.k12.com/getk12/index.html

Look for your state. If it is there than you can be cyerschooled.

They provide a computer and anything you will need for FREE.

Tou will be required to keep current on all your lessons, send in work samples and keep attendace current. You will have a state certified teacher to answer to and they will be available if you have any problems.

This is the curriculum we use in Pennsylvania.

        Good Luck!

  3. k-12freehomeschool.org

  4. Well what did you spend all of last year doing? You don't necessarily have to do online school, but some states do want to know what curriculum you're using. Others just want you to take a regular evaluation (usually yearly, or just in certain years). Others don't really have any requirements. Go to HSLDA.org and select your state to find out what you really need to do.

  5. Go to connectionsacademy.com i'm signing up for it at the moment, i just need to wait for an e-mail from them to say that i'm approved! =D Its free too.

But it only has schools in certain areas.

So if it doesn't have it in your state, try

    k12.com

it's also free, and also only has it on certain areas.

    =)

    God bless!

  6. What state do you live in?  Each state has its own regulations.  However, none of them can just send you something stating that your parents didn't homeschool you; they have no proof.

Some school districts or boards of ed do get a bit overzealous in trying to track homeschoolers in their district, though.  None of them can require you to homeschool in any certain way (online school, etc.), they can only require you to learn certain subject material and attend a certain amount of hours.  They can require you to test, or to submit to an evaluation, but they can't just say that you didn't homeschool and leave it at that.

Make sure that you've homeschooled according to your state's laws - that you've turned in the paperwork, kept the records, had any necessary testing or evaluation - and call HSLDA.  They are there to help you.

  7. If your parents are not capable of legally doing what they need to so that you can homeschool, then you should not homeschool.

If you are truly willing to take on this responsibility yourself, find a Yahoo Group for homeschooling in your state. Share with them what you shared with us. A curriculum doesn't mean that you have to find an online school--if you do online schooling, then you are an online school student, not a homeschooled student according to the law.

A curriculum is a plan of what you will learn for the year; they probably also want to know what resources you will use. This is where a group in Yahoo Groups will help you out--they will tell you exactly what you need to have your parents file. You might put it all together, but your parents are the ones who have to submit it all. They will also explain to you what other things you may need to do so that you can continue homeschooling.

  8. Listen to the answers you have gotten they are all good and valid.  How old are you, what grade are you in?  If you are 16 or older in most states you can withdraw from school, and if your parents are not capable of schooling you contact your local home school association, or HSLDA in your state, and see if another family would be willing to teach you using the curriculum they have.  In most states that would satisfy the laws they have, and you would be able to continue your education.
