  1. Once you begin realistically planning, or taking action, is one view. Most people with suicidal ideation are severely depressed: address the depression, and thoughts of suicide diminish, and eventually vanish, with effective treatment, and the sooner you start, the sooner you can begin bringing this about.

A modified previous answer follows: I went through a similar thing to you; it's important to realise that you are probably deeply depressed at present, but even so, you may still remember times when life was good. Well, it can be again, and soon: but you need treatment, which is readily available; all you have to do is reach out for it. See suicidal thoughts, and depression treatments, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris... in sections 5, and 2 (page R first, then young female depression, page V,and the rest). Contact the hotlines provided.

If the suicidal feelings become overwhelming, take a taxi, or call an ambulance, or use public transport, to take you to the nearest ER, or mental health facility, or call your local emergency number. 911 (USA), 000 (Australia), 999 (Great Britain), or 111 (New Zealand); see the phone book elsewhere.

Don't drive, yourself: you may well be a danger to others on the roads, in your current mental state. Too many people are found, and revived, but have suffered permanent mental damage, and live the rest of their lives in a semi vegetative state: their family, and friends feel guilty, and responsible, for not noticing the signs, and doing something about it.

It's a very nasty thing for them to have to go through, too, even though I appreciate that life is certainly no bed of roses for you, at present, so please, get help, right now: seek assistance, or use the hotlines provided.

It may induce those who cared about you to commit suicide, as well, or at least try, with undesirable consequences. Where suicide is involved, family, and friends often feel guilty, and responsible, for not noticing the signs, and doing something about it when there was still time.

See: http://www.cmha.ca/bins/content_page.asp... cid=3-101-103  Sometimes, if it induces suicide attempts from family members, or friends, it can result in either additional grief, for others, or horrible permanent consequences (see SUICIDE: ANECDOTAL, in section 5, at ezy build).

Consider this: people who have jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge and survived; unanimously say that during the fall they realized that all their problems were nothing compared to the problem they had just created by jumping. Try imagining, as vividly as possible, a time in the not too distant future, when you are happy.

  2. go to a doctor. please. you are a precious person and the world does not need to lose you.

  3. You have to find help NOW - the absolute WORST thing you can do is allow those thoughts to continue - they have to be put in check before they convince you to act on them.

Finding help can be a challenge in it's own though (especially if you don't have top notch insurance that covers mental health), so please keep that in mind if while you're trying to find a good provider it seems nobody cares. Please don't let discouragement have it's way - it will play right into an existing not so great state of mind, but it's not true - not one little bit.

I guess I could ramble on about why suicide is no solution and better days to come if you find help, but I know that is just talk and not a solution.

What I do know is since my girlfriend killed herself in June 2007, nothing has been the same. It's absolutely the most horrible thing I've ever experienced and it hasn't let up. I hope she's safe, and I miss her terribly. It's an utterly devastating experience for those who, even though you may not know it from their actions, love you deeply.

There's no undoing it - I think the finality of it is the worst.

Please, do ANYTHING but don't do that.

  4. go to a psychiatrist or psychologist NOW

  5. This answer isn't going to help you, but I just want you to know what happens if you do commit suicide.

My daughter tried this just 9 months ago and very nearly died in the process.  She spent 2 weeks in ICU and this time was the worst time ever in our lives, as parents.  She now has damaged organs, still no answer to her constant thoughts of suicide, and a constant worry by not only us, but her friends as to whether she will try this again.

If you love your parents, your friends, your siblings, whoever, just imagine the pain they would have to go through with either nearly losing you, or losing you altogether.  I'm sorry but all I want to say is this:

Don't be selfish and kill yourself, get help, be with friends, sort out what is bothering you, get an interest, make some goals, write down your thoughts (not on the computer, but in a diary), try not to be alone, figure out what you hate about life and make some changes to change that.

When you're dead, your dead - there's no going back.  Find a reason to live, just one, and make that your driving force.  Try to imagine one of your best friends or siblings or close family doing this - how would that make you feel?  Would you have given them the same advice to make them live?  Take charge of your life, don't let it take charge of you.  We all have a lot to live for - if you don't know what yet, make that your next project - find out and live it.

Nobody said life was going to be easy, yet a lot of us think it should be step by step and if not, then we want to opt out.  You need to make life happen - there is so much to enjoy.

Sorry, that may have been a bit heavy, but I can never ever forget the 2 weeks spent praying and hoping for my daughter to survive her attempt.

Someone out there loves you - find them and ask for help!!!

  6. see a therapist....

  7. i would talk to someone about this. why are you so unhappy? if your really going to hurt your self you should go get help..

  8. Think positive thoughts. Don't dwell on your sadness and certainly don't kill yourself.

I suggest you go to the ER. Even if they don't check you in they can get you a therapist instantly to help you. Otherwise if you book a therapist it could take months for your appointment.

I wish you luck. Please don't kill yourself. Thats not the right way to deal with this.

  9. You should do something  you enjoy and if you're by yourself, go be with friends or at least a public setting you enjoy. Okay, that was short term, long term you have to either fix, remove or learn to live with what is troubling you.

  10. No one can help you with your question because you are not providing any details. In  order to talk about your suicide problem, we need to know more just as a psychologist does.

  11. well 1st try to take it out of your mind by anyway!

find something which attach you to life so that you wont let it go! like a real love or ur parents!

killing yourself isnt the answer to your problems!

where do u think you'd be after killing yourself HAWAII!

live your life its a chance that many people wish to have!

find the thing which brought you to life so that you could have it and enjoy it!

    good luck!

  12. please get help...go talk to someone about it

  13. talk to anyone. A parent, brother, sister, pastor, psychologist... me if ya have nobody else.

  14. get your *** off the computer.

  15. here is a link for hotlines

    http://www.suicidehotlines.com

If you are in the united states then that number should connect you with someone near you who can tell you about resources in your area.

You need to go to the ER.  If you know of a psychiatric ER then go to it.  If not go to the regular ER.  You can get feeling better with the help of a psychiatrist.  They can give you medication, so you do not feel that way.
