  1. im not gonna tell you the answers.haha. nice try but ill tell you how to figure it out. turn the fractions into decimals then just add. its easy

  2. in each case, you are adding one fraction to one decimal. So you need to either convert the decimal to a fraction so you can add two fractions or you need to convert the fraction to a decimal so you can add two decimals.

    In the first case

3.2 + 7 8/15 .. I will convert the fraction into a decimal.. to do this we divide the denominator (bottom number) into the numerator (top number) so 8/15 =.533 now the problem can be restated as:

3.2 +7.533  and the answer is 10.733 voila

  3. 3.2+7 8/15 is 10 11/15, 6 3/4+ .75 is 7 1/2

  4. Turn them all into fractions then add. I would say turn them into decimals but most likely you'll get a repeating number and thats annoying

  5. jsut turn the decimal into fraction so   3.2=3 (2/10) or 3(1/5) so it is 16/5and than jsut add them all by make denoinator the same

  6. You have to make them either both fractions or both decimals.

    For instance:

    3.2 + 7 8/15 = 3 2/10 + 7 8/15 = 3 6/30 + 7 16/30 = 10 22/30 = 10 11/15

  7. decimals are easier to add

add the numbers up like u usually would with the grid method

and just put the point in =)

    fractions, gaawd knows

  8. convert the fractions to decimals then add the decimals together and there you have it

  9. you just need to put the decimals into a fraction, you will get

    3 3/15 + 7 8/15 = 10 11/15

    5/8 + 1/8= 6/8 = 3/4

    6 3/4 + 3/4= 7 2/4 = 7 1/2

  10. you want to convert decimals to fractions.  Remember that any decimal is something over a power of 10.  In other words, using your example 3.2 + 7-8/15, you know that 0.2 is 2/10, or 1/5, right?  So you have

3-1/5 + 7-8/15.   Oh...now you need your least common denominator, which is 15, so you get

3-3/15 + 7-8/15.  Then you add the 3 and the 7, which is 10, and then you add the fractions, 3/15 + 8/15 = 11/15 (just add the numerators).  Therefore, your answer is 10-11/15.

    Hope this helps!

Fractions and decimals can be tricky!  :)

    You just need to practice!

  11. OK. What you have to do is make them all fractions or all decimals.Probably easier to convert the fractions into decimals.

Divide the numerator by the denominator. So 8 divided by 15 =0.53.

    3.2 + 7.53 = 10.73.

    5 divided by 8= 0.625 so 0.625+ 0.125= 0.75

    3 divided by 4 = 0.75

    6.75+ 0.75 =  7.5

    Hope this helps.
