Help after catching a antivirus XP 2008 ON MY DESK TOP i CAN'T LOG ONLINE WHAT CAN i DO?

Now that i got the money to get the protection and clean my desk top out now i can't log online. what can I do?

Your next best bet is to use manual removel method unless you know of any friends that could download some freeware protection programs onto a usb flash drive from their computer for you.

I just love these guys, you tell them you cannot get on line and they tell you what to download to the infected computer. OK on the comp you posted this with Go to this link for instructions. http://www.xp-vista.com/spyware-removal/... print them out and you are sorted. Good luck.

Download the following free programs to a usb flash drive on another computer, these have worked in hundreds of cases of this parasite:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

Spyware Doctor Free Basic Edition - Realtime monitoring:

Its free with Google pack, untick all boxes except Spyware Doctor. Download install, update and run.

Wallpaper Hijacker Removal Tool:

Note: You should hit all "Repair" buttons even though it may not say "Found!" This will fix a wallpaper hijack everytime if all repair buttons are pressed.

SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition:

Download, install, check for updates, then select Scan your Computer, select your drive and select Perform Complete Scan

VundoFix:

Disconnect your computer from the internet

Run vundo

Restart your computer

Run the tool again to ensure no traces are left.

If there are the reboot into Safe Mode and run FixVundo again.

For manual removal go to C drive and open Program Files and locate and delete the following, or use the Search tool to locate them and delete:

shlwapi.dll

wininet.dll

AntiVirus2008.exe

Uninstall Antivirus.lnk

AntiVirus 2008.lnk

AntvrsInstall.exe

AntvrsInstall[1].exe

AntiVirus 2008.lic

Antvrs.exe

Then download and run the above programs to remove anything that remains.
