  1. There could be a good reason why she doesn't want you to do this - she may not think you are capable of carrying that kind of course load. So make her an offer - let you start on it, and proceed at your own pace. If you complete the two years in one, good for you. If not, you will at least stay current with the rest of your class. Of course, you may decide you really like being home schooled and not want to go back to regular school at the end of the experiment.

Is there any special reason why you want to leapfrog ahead of your regular class? Talk that over with your mom as well.

  2. Tell her It Would be great for College. That's what Colleges look for, and if you don't have a good Job, you wont be happy in life. (not to offend anybody) Tell her it is a great independent self-motivater, and thats what you are going to need later in life. Your mom isnt always going to be on your deck-and-call making choices for you. (Tell her that).GO for it. GOOD Luck ! ;- )

  3. Tell your mom that you really want to workhard and you will only require her help if you really need it. tell her that it will be easier to understand your work as you will be working at your own level. She can also brag about how smart you are to her friends!:) and you being home will create a special bond between you.

  4. i need more info.

why do u want to go up a grade? friends?teachers? whats the problem?

  5. just explain it to your mom you dont need to cry about it

  6. Ok, why are you almost in tears? And why do you want to be ahead one grade so badly?

  7. Who would you be homeschooled by? Maybe your mom doesn't have the time and doesn't have anyone that can school you.

  8. Still beating this dead horse? It is your mom's decision. Apparently, she is a good mom, and not motivated by drama and tears. We told you, yes, it is possible, but costly and it is a ton of work.

This is not your decision, it is your mother's. And if she says no, it is your responsibility to respect her and her decision.

Nothing has changed from the last four or five times you have posted this exact same question.

Hats off to your mom for sticking to her guns on this. Too many parents cave to tears, so  I'm glad to hear she has a spine.

Have you ever considered that your decision to ask the same dead questions over and over and over and your drama and tears may be the exact reason why she does not want to homeschool you???

  9. calm down homeschooling isn't for every one stay in your school and have fun school is over so fast and real life comes along enjoy your time as a kid and some parents don't want to home school it is very time consuming and stressful on parents  you may not like your mom as a teacher and she may not have time  i cannot convince her- neither can you- stay in school have fun slow down enjoy yourself you might actually like it

  10. You want to save a year of your life, and you want to be able to support yourself and be successful at an early age...Go with that approach. Also trying to explain how easy school work is for you and many of the other kids, that's why this home school option is available, duh :p

Just remember to keep eye contact, I actually convinced my mom to let me home school myself, use your knowledge of your mom to your advantage, it worked amazingly well for me.

  11. I would explain that being a grade ahead will look good for you college-wise and list the reasons that you want to be a grade ahead. Try to think of all the people around you who could homeschool you. Do some research and ask her if it's possible for you mom to homeschool you. Don't cry during this discussion; try to conversate in a straight-forward manner. I hope this helps.

  12. i dont know how to convince your mom. whats wrong with the grade your in?
