  1. These are signs of starting your period soon, however you cannot accurately know when you are to start until you do.

Why don't you ask your mum when she started, as this may give you a rough idea of when you might.

If you are worried that you might start soon, put some pads in a small makeup bag along with a spare change of underwear and some pain relief tablets (in case you get bad cramps at school). This should ensure that you are prepared if you get taken by surprise at school.

Hope you feel better soon (:

  2. you can never know when it will come. it may be soon as well as it may not be. the best thing to do is to bring a pad with you to school everyday and check at the restroom if you start feeling wet down there...u can also wear a pantyliner to school just to be on the safe side

  3. Im Really Sorry, But About 2-3 Weeks Ago, This Happened To Me And Ive Started. But Its Really Not as Bad As People Make Out. Dont Worry!:) You'll Be Fine!:)

  4. you might. you might not. nobody knows for sure until it happens. don't worry, it will come naturally. just give it some time. i know people who started at 10, i started at 15.

of course its best to be prepared for when you do start, and when you do it may be unexpected, so just keep a pad with you. if you're at school and don't have one you can always ask your nurse or first aid person - they usually always have some close-by and are used to handing them out.  if you find your flow quite heavy it might be useful keeping some pants in a makeup bag or the bottom of your school bag, and if you find cramps a problem its always best to carry a few mild painkillers if you are used to taking them. even when im not on i carry a tampon with me everywhere - just in case. its always better to be prepared of course.

when you do start, record the date and then eventually over the months your periods should start getting more regular. at first you might get one every 8 months or 2 in one month... if you are worried though, see a doctor or ask a parent about your worries if you feel you can.

    take care, xx

  5. Hi!

It sounds like you have all the classic signs, but it really depends on each individual. The fact the discharge is thicker and darker may well be an indication that it is on its way soon, but try not to worry too much as you can't know for sure.

The main thing is that you are prepared. I'd start with sanitary towels, much easier to deal with for now. Keep some in your bag at school in case. Usually when you start you are given some warning.. it's not like there's a sudden gush of blood like a wee (that's what i thought!!) it's all slow and often when you first start comes out as a brown stain in your knickers, not necessarily even so you are aware, so it's unlikely to stain your skirt/trousers or leave a trail behind you at school! I promise that won't happen!

Try not to worry and when it comes it comes. The fear of it is always a billion times worse than the reality!

Good luck with school and don't worry :D

  6. oh how exciting and misserable at the same time!!!

you probably will start soon...your going into 7th grade im assuming? do you get lockers? or a back pack?

find the most secret pocket in your backpack and put a travel size packet of personal wipes, an extra pair of undies and a pad..or tampon if you prefer...but starting out your period might be really heavy so start with pads...then move on the tampons..do what makes you comfortable! if you are sexual active...(your 12 =/ ) then use birth control k? cause remember once you start your period and have sexual intercourse you could at any chance become pregnant...and there is no one birth control that is 100%.

so yeah...dont be scared or embarressed!!! your a girl and your growing up! it time..whether your ready or not. so embrase it. and try to be comportable with yourself...dont sit around worrying when it will come....just let it happen...and if it leaks through your pants...oh-well go home and change..not a big deal.

    thats all i got.

    GOOD LUCK!

and stay out of trouble! =D

are you close with your mother? a big sister? cousin? talk to your best friends who have already started..they would be great to talk to about it...keep your chin up!

ew sorry for all the mis spellings..too lazy to go back and change um =P

  7. I am not sure whether you are going to start but just to be on the safe side why don't you start wearing pads and also then at least you have some sort of protection on, and you won't be worried about if you start and atleast you could have a peace of mind when your at school.

    Good Luck
