That is very Earthly term that refers to number of things such as communication, trade, ability to travel. One day was playing cards on line with girl from Scotland, solder in Europe and person from other end of my country. You could get answers from all over the world USA PA here. The 24 hour news cycle is said to be shrinking the world. On line you can buy stuff from most countries, and trade deal like GAT and NAFTA mean workers in many countries have to directly compete. You could get on jet plane and travel to all corners of Earth. Space missions showing Earth as tiny blue dot also add to perception of globalism. My favorite is how web is connecting people from all over.
