how do i write these sentences in if -then statements?

WHICH WATER WITH SALT EVAPORATE FASTER THAN WATER WITHOUT SALT

WHICH GETS HOTTER IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME-DIRT OR SAND ?

  1. For the water and salt one, if I thought water with salt would evaporate faster, I'd write: If water with salt were to evaporate, then it would evaporate faster than water without salt.

    For the dirt and sand one, if I thought sand got hotter faster, I'd write: If sand was exposed to heat, then it would heat faster than dirt.

    If you think the opposite of what I wrote, than just change the variables to what you want.
