Question:

Help avoiding constipation!?

Ok, well I'm a Junior in High School and most of my classes require that things are typed and researched. So, I spend an average of 3 hours after 3:30 PM sitting down in front of the computer. So i get constipated a lot. What can I do to minimize if not eliminate constipation? Drinking a lot of water?

  1. i say drink alot of water and try to occupy yourself and don't think about being constepated

    im not sure but if the problem gets wors like you cant sotp it tell your parents or doctor

  2. Apart from increasing fluid intake and eating some/all of the following:

    fruit (but not bananas), veg (esp. green veg and veg with skins), brown bread, nuts (if not allergic!) - you may also need to increase exercise.  Not necessarily at the gym, just walk more.

  3. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, eat fruit and veggies and eat things with fibre.

  4. Why don't you try snacking on an apple or drinking a glass of apple juice.
