  1. buy a thera band, they sell them at dance stores, and really work. You just do different excercises with them.

  2. oaky ur wanting to strengthn ur ankles and legs??? Bar work!!! releves eleves, plies, pointing and flexing...use thera bands they are good workout for ur feet and ankles. good luck

  3. i can't imagine what reason you could have for wanting to rush healing from surgery so you can go into pointe shoes. honestly, the only thing you'll be getting is more injuries.

you've only been out of class for a few weeks. start back slowly and focus on gaining back strength. your teacher will give you the go-ahead for pointe shoes when she/he believes that you are ready.

  4. IF YOU ARE CLEARED BY YOUR DOCTOR to go ahead with the toe shoes:

Practice whenever you can; walk around your house in the toe shoes, wear them whenever you can, even if you're just sitting.  Lots or releves, echappes, passes, etc. at the barre,  and in the center floor without the barre.  Just make sure that you warm up thoroughly before doing anything strenuous on point, otherwise you could hurt yourself.

  5. A lot of releves in front of the bar, with one or two feet. With and without plie.

Practice and a lot of patience ;-)
