  1. oh you poor thing!

i wouldnt file bamkruptcy just yet!

first, sign up for governmental financial aid if you havent already. they should give you lots of $$ and try to get more welfare. maybe sell the house and downscale it a little more. I wish i could do more to help i truly do just i fear if you file bankruptcy it will effect your son's education and that would be terrible since hes so smart!

  2. apply for a pell grant, not just student loans, there are also plenty of different scholarships available. And people on welfare also deserve an education, so please don't sound so negative towards them. I am/was not on welfare but pell grants got me through nursing school...and i don't owe anyone for my education, but am glad for the privilege/opportunity that was given to me to get where i am. i also got a scholarship one semester as well. Also look into junior/community colleges as a starting point not just the 4-year universities where the tuition is so much higher than 2-yr colleges and he his course can transfer to a 4-yr when he's ready.

  3. Pell grants & federal subsidized loans instead of private student loans. He can work on campus under a work study program. Some colleges pay toward housing if you work on campus or tutor.

  4. how would filing bankrupt help you if not other bills other than normal living cost maybe see about changing your mortage, and car payment going bankrupt will only put you in the same place you are in you don't have credit cards that hang over you check you credit report and see what is holding you back first from a loan for your son and remember you file bankrupt only one life time wait till you have real money problems budget you lifestyle!!! how many times you get carry out a week  have him try to win grants
