  2. As an evolutionary biologist, I'm confused by what you're getting at. We don't talk in terms of forces...

    However, I see that some do use that terminology in a casual sense. For four such "mechanisms of change" involved in evolution, see:

    Specifically, evolution can result from various combinations of the following:

    mutation, drift, gene flow, selection

    If you're desperate for a fifth, some folks would add recombination to such a list.
