Help! blackout, tv, verizon!?

ok so there was a blackout at my house like 2 weeks ago, i have verizon, we fixed the power and when everything turned back on, it was all static!! >:[ i tried unplugging the verizon box thingy and plugging it back in, but it stays all static, its on the right channel, and the box still turns on and changes channels, it just doesnt show up!!

Have tried to play dvds on the tv and seeing what happens? The picture shows up as normal then it could be the version box (hopefully its the box and not the tv). Hopefully the tv was hooked up to a surge protector. If same problem have the version tech guy come over your house and check the connection.
