  1. She's getting enough! My son was the same way when he was young. Everyone told me that they NEED to be feeding from both b*****s every feed but that is hog wash. Its just because your body hasn't adjusted to the feeding schedule and you are become over filled, so one breast is enough. About the so fast part, what I always did was keep a receiving blanket tucked into the underpart of my bra, and whenever he pulled off because it was coming out really fast, I just caught the milk with that, until it slowed down.

  2. she sounds fine. She just knows what she's doing. My baby is like this also and has been from the beginning. And she's 4.5 months an 16 lbs Strictly breastfed. :)

Count your blessing, your baby is a pro at the rip old age of 2 weeks. lol

  3. check with your doctor? is she on target for her weight? is she cranky?? a hungry baby will let you know if they are not satisfied

  4. Hmmm, thats a very short time to nurse. How many times a day does she nurse for?? It sounds like she is having enough wet and poopy diapers, so sounds like it's going well! Good luck :)

  5. Sounds perfectly normal.  If your milk is coming fast (they call this forceful let down) she has to work less time to get more.  Especially based on the (other) end results in the diapers.

I have a preferred breast also, but my baby now eats off both.  You can pump the other if you want so that you can start storing milk for later use.  You'll find that one pumps better than the other probably.

To help with the let down, you can pump (with your hand, a manual or electric pump) for a bit just before you feed until your milk is flowing just a little slower so she can handle it.  But you should feel very fortunate.  Most mothers have the opposite issue.

Congratulations on your decision to breast feed.

  6. you may be overproducing..try to pump some for her and give it in a bottle..you should try to express milk for longer perios of time, so your supply doesnt decrease..try 20-25 min

  7. that seems like a very short nursing session for a 2 week old...My baby at the age nursed all the time literally....try to make sure that she is awake enough to nurse and take her clothes off of her to wake her up if you need too....her diapers are a good amount...but that still seems like it's not long enough...I would check with DR about her weight to make sure that she is gaining....she should be back up to her birth weight or alittle bit more by 2 weeks old

  8. Wet diapers and weight gain are the best indications of whether a baby is getting enough milk.  6 - 8 wet diapers is perfect.  How is her weight gain?  If that is good, too, then all is well.
