I'm turning 18 in less than a month and I have a bank account with 4500 dollars in it which I can access as soon as I'm 18. So I'm looking at buying a PC as the one at home is really old 2003 Windows XP :P.

Pretty much just want one that ill be able to play any game on with really high graphic setting, but dont want to pay over 2000 dollars for it. Been looking at this one.

  1. I wouldnt go for alienware. It's overpriced for the spec. you are paying for the name. Its a good machine but you could get better elsewhere.

Do some research and even talk to your local PC hardware supplier for some ideas. There are plenty of specs on the net that you could use and even order the parts online and build it yourself.

Its not hard and you'll save $ which you can then spend on some great games.

Even try the gaming forums and ask some questions there.

EDIT: I just looked at the spec and nearly all of the performance components are available online separately. You can even buy gaming cases if its the look that you want and then add your own components. This is what I'd be doing.

  2. alienware has bad service (read reviews online)

    + is overpriced

build it yourself, add custom case, looks even better

    OR

buy it from a normal company

  3. dont buy it, Make it yourelf, it's cheaper
