  1. I would call your vet and explain the situation.  The fact her first litter went quickly and this one is not may or may not mean anything.  But do not take any chances.  Let the vet make that call before it is too late.  Plus they will be prepared for you in case she will need assistance from them later today.

    Best Of Luck :)

  2. It could be one is stuck. I don't know what part of the world you're in, but get her to a veterinarian right away.

  3. Leave Mom alone, let her be quiet. Make sure she has a safe place that is warm, dry and comfortable for her. Make sure she has "nesting" material (shredded newspapers, old towels or blankets). Make sure she has access to food and water, as she will need her strength. If you have kitten food, feed her that so she has more energy.

If she seems in distress or in excessive pain, then take her to the vet at once!

Sometimes it takes several hours for cats to have their kittens. There can be hours between each kit being born. So unless she seems in trouble, leave her be for a while. If she feels crowded or stressed from too much involvement, she will not give birth!

If she hasn't had another kitten by this evening, call a vet or rescue shelter for advice.

And after this litter is born, PLEASE have this mom spayed! She doesn't need more kittens when there are so many homeless and being killed in shelters every day. Have the kittens spayed or neutered before you adopt them out (hopefully to good stable homes!). It's the only responsible thing to do.

  4. it depends on the cats age,

  5. Ok dont panic first of all, it can happen like that, it not uncommon. She might relax again, and then they just come, i have seen this more than once. It could go on till tonight.... Stay calm and good luck.

    Keep us posted

  6. My cat took 9 hours on her second pregnancy.  Her first was about and hour.  She is perfectly healthy and so were her kittens.  Give it a little more time.  If they don't start coming out soon, TAKE HER TO A VET IMMEDIATLY. You don't want the babies to die. I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just trying to help you.  I hope everything turns out well and congrats!

  7. leave her at it... they are not dependent on humans to help them...i doubt theres a problem! if your still worried call a vet.

  8. They can have them many hours apart, one of mine had 2 approx miday then had another a 8pm, and another at 2am, just keep an eye on her, theyre usually fine though and its us humans that get all panicky for them, if she looks like shes in any discomfort or distress, then give the vet a ring just for advice, they will have  a 24 hour number.

  9. i think so. my cat just had kittens 4months ago and she had hers really far apart 1 @ 10 in the morn. and they kept coming till about midnight... and she had 5 so i think its ok...

  10. The cat will decide if she's ready to give birth to her babies don't worry she's a-ok. More to come but she'll decide when to push them out she must know her comfort zone.

  11. My sisters cat had kittens and it took a while
